"THE PALM" Villa, Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club 360 Degree Virtual Tour Availability Calendar Guest reviews Video Tour of Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club "The P "The Palm"villa is unique in having a wonderful, completely private swimming pool, spa and deck located within an attractive planted courtyard area. Just imagine not being able to see (or hear!) your neighbouring vacationers when you are swimming, sunbathing or just relaxing.
Facilities The Palm" villa has been beautifully and expensively furnished from scratch. As owners we visit at least three times a year to ensure everything is kept completely up-to-date and maintained to our very high standards. Expect to find very high-quality fixtures and fittings, plus many other touches unusual for a vacation home. For example, the Living Room, which overlooks the golf course, has three squashy Italian leather sofas and a fire place, plus a professional slate bed billiard table. The Master Bedroom has gorgeous mahogany antique-style furniture, including an 'armoire' housing the TV and DVD player, a telephone, and spacious en-suite bathroom facilities including a vanity unit, Roman bathtub, huge walk-in shower and separate w.c. with bidet. The totally self-contained Guest Suite is located across the courtyard, and has a romantic cast-iron poster bed, a telephone, and an en-suite bathroom with vanity basin, w.c. and bathtub with shower over. This bathroom may also be accessed from the pool area. From both Master Bedrooms you can step directly out to the pool deck - fantastic for an early morning swim! The two twin bedrooms share a Family Bathroom, which has vanity basin, w.c. and bathtub with shower over. All the bedrooms have their own TV & DVD player. One of the twin bedrooms may, by prior arrangement, be made up as a third King-sized bedroom, which is ideal if three couples are sharing the villa; the other includes a computer desk & Sony Playstation2 with additional TV. The Family Room has a comfortable cane sofa, love seat & rocking chair, with a large flat screen TV and DVD/CD player for your entertainment. This is open plan to the Breakfast Area which overlooks the pool through an enormous wall of sliding glass doors. The Kitchen has black granite tops, ceramic hob, dishwasher, large built in electric stove and microwave oven, and a large fridge/freezer that dispenses chilled water, crushed ice and ice cubes. The separate formal Dining Room seats six at a large marble-topped table. Finally there is the Laundry Room which houses a large washer and dryer. There is wireless internet so you can use your laptop anywhere in the villa - even out on the pool deck.
Smoke-detectors, fire-extinguishers & emergency lighting have been installed for your safety & peace of mind. We could go on and on about the superior quality and sheer spaciousness of this home, many guests have commented that the photos do not to it justice and their expectations have been far exceeded. Facilities outside include a built-in electric barbeque/grill, lots of luxury pool loungers and arm chairs, a full size dining table and chairs, adjustable lighting for creating a romantic atmosphere at night, a wall fountain, and two ceiling fans to cool things down when it gets too warm. It really has been designed as an extra living area, to give you maximum enjoyment from the legendary outdoor Floridian living. Location Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club is a quiet, beautifully-maintained upscale golf resort located just 15 miles south of the Disney Parks, with villas built around the PGA-rated Championship golf course. It has 24 hour manned security at the entrance, and excellent amenities including a superb Clubhouse with a bar and restaurant open all week to visitors for breakfast and lunch (and currently for dinner 3 nights a week), 3 swimming pools, a gym, children's play area, fishing lake, 2 tennis courts, bike paths, and a golf pro shop. It also has the true convenience of a 24/7 Wal-Mart Superstore just outside the community gate, along with a gas station, bank, restaurants, & many other shops. If you plan to visit the Theme Parks, the big benefit of Southern Dunes' location is that can reach Disney World within 20 minutes, from a different direction to the 100's of people staying in Kissimmee - they may be stuck in a traffic jam along the HW192 whilst you will drive straight in! The Universal theme parks are approx. 30 minutes drive. You are also nearer to both the Gulf & Atlantic coasts - the nearest beach is about an hour's drive. You can shop 'til you drop at the many discount malls, and eat out at very reasonable cost in a huge choice of restaurants - all within an easy drive. |

located right on the 16th fairway, so from the back of the villa you can watch
golfers or wildlife, or take a stroll along the course in the evening sunshine.
If you enjoy your privacy, you will so
appreciate the unique sheltered, south-facing outdoor living area that really is
completely private, so no curious neighbours (or golfers!) can spy
on your sun-bathing/swimming activities..... it is located within a huge planted
courtyard area, the house forms three sides and a wall forms the fourth side.
